It’s no secret that the tech industry can be a bit of a minefield. With the ever-changing landscape and pressures from the business side of things, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of it all. Unfortunately, this can cause us to forget that the people driving the technology are just people too.

That’s why I’m here. I want to provide an unapologetic view of software engineering and engineering management in the corporate world. I’m going to call out the stupid decisions and misguided approaches that can lead to failed projects, and share ways to move the industry forward.

At the same time, I’m hoping to provide a platform for engineers and managers to share their experiences and frustrations. I want to show that there are good managers out there, and that it’s possible to push back against the corporate world.
